Stand Up Paddleboarding

Stand up paddle boarding is a great way to stay active and to socialise on the water. It is one of those sports which you can do on your own terms and at your own pace. Leisurely paddling and chatting with friends, playing games, blasting along for a full body work out or simply challenging yourself on a long paddle. The emphasis is on learning together, fun, fitness and socialising.

We are a members only club but you are very welcome to join us for a trial session. Bring you own equipment or borrow one of our Club boards for a donation of £5.

The Club has a goal for 2025 to provide a more SUP friendly environment offering more water availability times to our members.

To achieve this we need volunteers to assist with covering Social Sailing times for safety on the water (Safety Boat familiarisation and RYA Course available), or simply by providing a safety look out and friendly welcome to members and visitors on shore.

If you can support us in achieving this goal in any way please contact: commodoregresfordsc@gmail.com

When can I SUP?

SUP paddling takes place during our ‘Social Sailing’ sessions and the water may be shared with dinghy sailors and model boats. This has never been a problem as there is space for all to have fun.

Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6 – 8:30pm and Sundays 10:30-4pm

Paddling may also be possible at other times to suit more experienced paddling members. Requests to commodoregresfordsc@gmail.com

What does my Membership provide?

We are also working on a new open outdoor space with a picnic bench as an area for members and their families to spend outdoor time during sailing sessions, it will also be used for arranged social events for club members for BBQ’s and firepit gatherings.
